About Me

Hi, I'm Casey!

With 20 years of experience as a licensed psychotherapist, what brings me joy is helping adults and couples heal from childhood wounds that are negatively impacting their current relationships and every day life.

Deeply relational and energetic, yet results-inspired, I will meet you right where you are and help you stretch just outside your comfort zone towards growth. I utilize evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma, and Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Method for Couples Therapy.

I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help my clients become more aware of their vulnerable and protective parts. And let's face it, this is hard work, so I also incorporate mindfulness and and humor into my practice.

My use of props, visual aids, and creative analogies helps my clients gain a better understanding of the patterns that trip them up. Best of all, I'm human too, and just may laugh or shed a tear right along with you.

My goal is to create a sense of safety within the therapeutic relationship where you feel heard and understood without judgment. I encourage you to come as you are. All imperfect parts are welcome!

I offer in-person appointments in Loudoun County and telehealth sessions to individuals residing in the state of Virginia. I value diversity, equity, and inclusion. I am LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and alternative lifestyles affirming and welcoming. If you think we'd be a good fit, I'd be honored to join you in your journey toward healing.

More About Me:

In my free time, I like to...

Wait! Free time, what's that? A more honest response would be that I daydream about lying on a sunny beach, reading for pleasure with no laundry to fold, weeds to pull, or kids to cart around.

Music feeds my soul. With zero musical talent and very eclectic taste, I love attending concerts or relaxing at a winery or brewery with my family and friends. I'm crafty and enjoy decorating for the holidays or upscaling a thrift store find. I also love snuggling my dog, Marley.
